Potent and sensual, Patchouli is an essential House of Dior ingredient that took up its place at the beginning of the New Look revolution in 1947.
Full of elegance, François Demachy's composition, Patchouli Impérial, is a celebration of this legendary oriental ingredient with notes as sultry as they are sophisticated. "Patchouli is a major note, the most animal of all the plant notes. It is refined, revealing unprecedented elegance."
Patchouli is a major note, the most animal-like of the plant notes. Refined, it reveals an elegance like no other.
François Demachy created daring combinations that reinvent the fragrances and celebrate the unexpected encounter of contrasting notes. Intimate and profound, Bois d'Argent is like a clean stroke drawn around a precious ingredient: Absolute of Iris from Florence. From £165.00 - Spray 125ml

Found in Russia and distilled in water vapour, coriander is regarded as a herb which is largely used in cooking. Containing linalool, coriander brings a fresh, zesty, peppery quality to fougere, citrus and chypre fragrances.
Patchouli is a plant native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Indispensable to any perfumer, patchouli essence is obtained through steam distillation of the dried leaves. It is to be found in chypre, woody and oriental fragrances.
The precious woods note is derived from wood essences, including vetiver, cedar, patchouli and sandalwood. The perfumer combines these with synthetic substances to intensify specific facets. The precious woods note therefore varies depending on the dominant woody ingredient.
