TYEN, CREATOR OF COLOURS
Tyen’s story is the extraordinary career of a multi-faceted artist, photographer and creative director of Dior Make-Up.
His make-up creations
In 1982, he invented "Neige de Lune" [Moon Snow], a palette of 4 eyeshadows, a pearly white in pink, blue, green and gold, whose colour appears according to the intensity of the light. A world first that inspired many makeup creators.
In 1984, he introduced an electric-blue mascara which was a best-seller for a long time. According to the same principle, in 1997 he created Mascara Flash for the hair.
1987 saw the birth of the legendary 5 Colours eyeshadow with more than 127 colour harmonies since its creation.
In 1990, he created Mascara Parfait (long-lasting mascara formulated with nourishing and thickening cashmere) and was also responsible for its campaign, which was elected "Best Advertisement in the world" by the American magazine Photo.
In 1997, Rouge Diorific, a long-wearing lipstick in a very Couture gold case saw the light of day with an unforgettable advertisement visual which was awarded the French Poster Grand Prix.
In 1999, an even more original project took center stage, the Lumière Noire [Black Light] collection composed of an eyeliner, a felt-tip pen, a nail varnish and a hair mascara which only appeared under black light.
In 2009, he created the Diorskin Nude foundation, whose innovative formula enriched with minerals gives the illusion of a naturally perfect and luminous skin.
