Summer Scents

With their fresh and sparkling scents, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Poison Girl Eau de Toilette and Dior Homme Cologne are the fragrance essentials for summer.

These three fragrances concentrate the smells and sensations of California into the scent of summer. François Demachy, Dior's exclusive perfumer-creator, reinterprets the iconic Miss Dior in a contemporary version akin to an armful of flowers baptized Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. The original 1947 perfume is reinvented with a peony accord combined with damask rose essence and revitalized by the sparkling freshness of Sicilian mandarin. With Poison Girl Eau de Toilette, summer equals seduction: a duo of icy oranges contrastes with a sensual bouquet of flowers to blow hot and cold. Lastly, for men, the freshness and sobriety of a cotton shirt are revisited in the eau de toilette Dior Homme Cologne. Inspired by the famous cologne accord, this fragrance is born of the fusion of Calabrian bergamot, grapefruit blossom and white musks.

Back to California

Pleasant living and sharp colors: as summer starts to kick in, the Dior perfumes, makeup and skincare offer an invitation to travel to the sunny Californian climes. It's a place that has been intimately linked to the House since 1947, when Christian Dior traveled there only a few months after showing his debut collection.

Sun-drenched Freshness

Both radiant and refreshing, Eau Sauvage Parfum boasts a new fruity, amber and spicy composition. Born in Grasse, at the Fontaines Parfumées, the estate devoted to the creation of fragrances for the house of Dior, this composition remains faithful to its origins while exuding a new freshness injected by François Demachy, Dior’s exclusive perfumer-creator.

“Eau Sauvage Parfum has become even more pleasurable. With this fuller, rounder version, even closer to the original signature, I sought to underline the authenticity of the materials. Express their power but also bring out their warmth by making them even more present and palpable,” explains François Demachy. Inspired by the legendary fragrance, Dior’s exclusive perfumer-creator offers a reinterpretation that stays faithful to its sunny freshness while enriching it with smooth woody notes. Citrus brings a bracing air, through the union of a sweet orange with the chiseled freshness of San Carlo bergamot. Fruity, floral and zesty, it's exclusively cultivated for Eau Sauvage in Reggio Calabria. Then the softness settles in with floral notes of lavender absolute, themselves underlined by wild flowers. The bouquet is enhanced by hedione, a molecule present in the first Eau Sauvage in 1966, and which contributed to establishing its legend. Next comes a pared-down reinterpretation of the vetiver heart, with woodier accents, which highlight the spicy base, swelling with oriental warmth. Elemi from the Philippines deploys its own warm and powerful note, while the labdanum unveils its sensual nature, complemented by the smooth pairing of cinnamon and star anise.

Dior Homme Winter 2017-2018 Campaign

On the occasion of his tenth anniversary at Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche calls on the British photographer David Sims to interpret the winter 2017-2018 collection.

Exemplifying the multifaceted creative persona of the Dior Homme man, the brand’s duality rises to the fore with a cinematic contrast created in diptych layouts featuring the season’s new faces: figures drawn from the worlds of fashion, music and film. American actor Lucas Hedges and Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan join French model Dylan Roques and breakout Belgian model Christophe ‘t Kint. Spanning generations and disciplines, they plot an evolution of style that subverts the classicism of Dior Homme with a contemporary twist.

In one scenario, the lines of HARDIOR tape created for the Winter 2017-2018 fashion show become a graphic backdrop, showcasing the season’s deconstructed and pinstriped tailoring worn with metallic hardware and rubber-soled trainers. A second series of images mixes elements of bygone bourgeoisie with raw youthful energy. The whole is accented by Sims’ signature interplay of shadow and light.
