Inspired by Christian Dior's dress Jardin Japonais, Maria Grazia Chiuri revisited it in ten ready-to-wear looks with a focus on cutting and material effects. The delicate flowers and interlacing branches are printed on fringed canvas, hand-painted on leather, or reinvented on an inset knitted sweater; all in looks that freely fuse the contemporary woman's wardrobe with nods to the House's history and homages to Japanese culture. The Bar jacket, revisiting the 1947 original, is teamed with a miniskirt; the traditional kimono, reconceived with regard to one of Monsieur Dior's creations, is worn short; a leather biker jacket sets off a chiffon crêpe blouse.

To accompany these contemporary outfits, Maria Grazia Chiuri also designed a series of limited-edition accessories. The Lady Dior and Dioraddict bags, along with D-Bee clutches, appear with a motif inspired by the Jardin Japonais dress, hand-painted on nude or black leather, or in Dior Oblique canvas drawn from the House's heritage. Cherry flowers also bloom on tulle pumps with an ankle ribbon bearing the legend "Jardin japonais". Offering the final touches to a look that celebrates the spring, a silk square and a Mitzah scarf reprise the blossoming cherry branches motif.
