COUTURE CORTEGE

Last Saturday, for the wedding of Andrea Casiraghi, eldest son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, and Tatiana Santo Domingo in Gstaad, the child attendants were dressed by Baby Dior. Find out all about the outfits created specially for the occasion by the house's ateliers.

For the little girls, a dress in snow-colored panne velvet, made light and airy with a tulle petticoat, and a green worsted cashmere cape with fox-trimmed hood. For the little boys, an ivory worsted cashmere jacket with mountain green trim, paired with short Tyrolean-inspired breeches. In these outfits specially created for the occasion and designed in close collaboration with the bride, traditional Alpine costumes were revisited in natural tones and noble materials, with the house's characteristic codes and elegance.

While the clothing might display an echo of the bucolic poetry of the Swiss mountains where the ceremony took place, the overall impression is resolutely couture: from the fine satin neck frills to the generous bows so emblematic of the house that decorated the dresses, each outfit was made to measure in the Baby Dior ateliers in France. For the house of Dior, this event was an occasion to pay homage to the links it has long enjoyed to the Monegasque royal family, and to remember Princess Grace who acted as the original godmother for the of the launch of the Baby Dior line.
