DAYS OF WONDER

GALERIE

On June 15 and 16, LVMH presents the second edition of Les Journées Particulières, opening the doors of its forty-two houses to the public.

Watchmakers, seamstresses, cellar masters, jewelers, trunkmakers, and many other professions will, this weekend, share with the public the savoir-faire and passion for perfection that is the beating heart of the LVMH group. This year, for the event's second edition, forty-two houses (compared to the twenty-five in the first year, 2011) unveil their history and heritage to the public. The objective of this two-day undertaking? To bring to light the historical and human wealth contained in each house, produced and perpetuated by generations of artisans, masters of inimitable know-how. Discover the art of the English tailor at Thomas Pink, the savoir-faire of the Swiss watchmaker at Hublot, Zenith and Tag Heuer, the inherently Spanish mastery of leather at Loewe...

From Switzerland to Italy, Spain to France and the United Kingdom, a total of seven countries are taking part.
In Paris, at 30, Avenue Montaigne, the house of Dior is also celebrating the various skills that serve to write its story, lifting the veil on their savoir-faire: haute couture tailleur and flou, the finest jewelry and watchmaking, embroidery, tailoring, leatherwork, shoemaking, perfumes and lace. Within the walls of its historic location, the house pays homage to those behind the creation of the excellence and the dream, since 1947.
