The new make-up collection "Mystic Metallics" is inspired by the superstitions of Christian Dior, revealing a range of colors with mysterious and magnetic reflections.
DiorMag told you all about it as part of our summer saga series: Christian Dior was wildly superstitious. Believing in omens and fate, the couturier placed his full trust in fortune tellers since his first encounter with a clairvoyant at the tender age of fourteen. Today, the make-up collection "Mystic Metallics" defines a mysterious universe in which the Dior woman as conceived of by Tyen, director of color creation, is resplendent in subtle and iridescent hues, as if by magic. And so the eyes hold great mystery thanks to Diorshow Fusion Mono, whose gel-mousse texture lights up lashes with faceted color, from densest black to midnight blue.
Then there's the 5 Couleurs palette of eyeshadows sculpted to the shape of Christian Dior's favorite star motif, one which he found, by accident, in the middle of the street, and which he took as being a sign of the fate pushing him toward opening his own couture house. The names of the nail varnishes suggest infinity (Destin, Galaxie), introducing, for the very first time, a magnetic lacquer whose glints can be altered through the aid of a magnet. "The harmonies I've created for this look reflect the galaxy's mysterious colors. It's a voyage from the earth to the moon," claims Tyen.
