A veritable ode to Venice, its traditions and unwavering links with art history and French culture, the “Tiepolo Ball” for one night celebrated the magic of this city of dreams. Specially for the event, Maria Grazia Chiuri dreamed up a bustier gown for actress Monica Bellucci in a silk velvet chiseled with floral motifs, an exclusive fabric designed by Dior and poetically baptized "Millefiori".
The fruits of the haute couture savoir-faire of the Dior Ateliers, the creation revisits the codes of the House through the extraordinary craft tradition of Venetian weaving. Cue the bustier, adorned with a soprarizzo weave. Known for its finesse and rich and precious nuances, the chiseled silk velvet is handwoven in the ancestral Bevilacqua mill in Venice. The unique velvet piece bears the inscription "Christian Dior" at the back. Enhanced by a pleated skirt in a triple layer of tulle in dégradé hues, the bustier flashes out from beneath an elegant pleated cape in taffeta silk.
