Summer capsule

In homage to Christian Dior the gallerist and avant-garde art lover, Kim Jones, the Artistic Director of Dior men's collections was inspired by his collaboration with the Japanese contemporary artist Hajime Sorayama for the Pre-Fall 2019 show to create two prints for an exclusive capsule collection.

This capsule collection is a dual homage, at once to Hajime Sorayama's aesthetics and to Kim Jones' passion for traveling and nature. The Dior logo, now reinterpreted by the artist, mixes with seascapes populated by dolphins and robotic mermaids.

Alongside Hawaiian shirts, bathing trunks and light, fluid jackets in nylon and rayon, there is a selection of leather goods and accessories: three bags – a tote, a belt-bag and the emblematic Roller - two pochettes, a new version of the B23 sneakers as well as silk scarves and beach blankets.

Modern, colorful and full of luminous energy the Beachwear 2019 men's capsule collection offers a fresh reinterpretation of the Dior spirit.

Guided Tour

In the heart of the Champs-Elysées, the new Dior boutique stands like a majestic showcase and a spellbinding twin, a surprising evocation of the hôtel particulier at 30 Avenue Montaigne.

An homage to Christian Dior’s hôtel particulier, closed while undergoing a metamorphosis, a captivating trompe-l’œil, entirely made by hand, conjures, as if by magic, the façade of 30 Avenue Montaigne on the world’s most beautiful avenue. On display in this kingdom of dreams are the latest collections from across Dior’s universes, showcased in an unprecedented scenography crowned by a spectacular luminous dome, with a curved, ribbon-like staircase, a poetic fresco of white toiles celebrating the savoir-faire of the House’s Ateliers, works and sculptures reinterpreting the iconic Lady Dior bag and exclusive furniture by contemporary artists. A new chapter opens in Dior’s love affair with Paris, a marriage of audacity and architectural virtuosity.

Felines

A leopard print designed by Raymond Pettibon echoes Kim Jones' love of nature and animals, and reprises one of the founding couturier's favorite codes: leopard print has been present ever since Dior’s debut collection, in 1947. Now reinvented, this signature code returns in the Winter 2019-2020 men’s wear collection on coats with original interplays of materials, while a tiger motif embellishes elegant draping, reflecting the haute couture heritage of the House.
