Free Spirits

Dior unveils the campaign for Maria Grazia Chiuri's Autumn-Winter 2019-2020 women’s ready-to-wear collection, inspired by the rebellious elegance of Teddy Girls.

As shot by the photographer Brigitte Niedermair, the models Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell embody the committed spirit of this season’s looks by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s Artistic Director for women’s collections. A veritable ode to sorority, this series incorporates captivating plays on abstraction to showcase a self-assured femininity, from the silkscreened t-shirts “Sisterhood Is Global” and “Sisterhood Is Powerful” to the Bar jacket, now revisited with more masculine lines. A symbol of the British culture Christian Dior loved, tartan meets toile de Jouy and leopard print, two of the founding couturier’s favorite codes. A manifesto for Dior style, punctuated by precious accessories with a couture spirit.
