30 Avenue Montaigne All Ablaze

As the end-of-year festivities get ever nearer, 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s historic address, unveils seasonal decorations inspired by the cruise 2018 show: an immense luminous hot air balloon, decorated with Christian Dior’s lucky star, and surrounded by several smaller colorful balloons featuring illustrations from the Motherpeace tarot devised by Karen Vogel and Vicki Noble in the 1970s, which appear on Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creations.

La Crème Dior Prestige

Boasting eight molecules with strong regenerative powers, the rose de Granville is at the heart of La Crème Dior Prestige, precious skincare for rose petal-smooth skin glowing with youth.

On the cliffs of Granville, not far from Christian Dior’s childhood garden, the Dior scientific researchers discovered a wild rose, capable of resisting the harsh maritime climate. Carefully bred in order to heighten its vitality, the result is a rose possessing exceptional powers, the rose de Granville.  Cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture in a Dior garden, it can only be harvested twice per year. It would take fifteen years of research before the Dior scientists could capture the unique molecules that give the rose de Granville its extraordinary life force. Now they are to be found concentrated in La Crème Dior Prestige. Into each skin layer they deliver regenerative powers more intense than ever to offer women the perfection of skin like a rose petal.

The precious shades, inspired by gems, can be found right to the fingertips as Diorific Vernis which come in garnet, emerald or amethyst. Like two jewels, the Ruby and Emerald harmonies of the 5 Couleurs palette adopt a faceted compression, and grace the eyes with dazzling and subtle nuanced color.

Sauvage

Raw and sophisticated, Sauvage represents a harmony of Calabrian bergamot essence, Sichuan pepper and the sun-drenched notes of Vaucluse lavender and patchouli. The result is a resolutely masculine scent for the bold and daring man in your life.

“Sauvage was a rough stone that I chiseled and shaped,” states François Demachy, the House’s exclusive perfumer-creator, who developed the fragrance from high-quality raw materials, lending Sauvage a unique signature and sense of nobility.

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

As the festive season approaches, thoughts turn to love and passion, two inspirations for François Demachy, Dior’s exclusive perfumer-creator, when it came to reworking Miss Dior Eau de Parfum as a customized wild rose, a declaration of love destined for women.

“ I chiseled into the floral character of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in order to make it sensual and suggestive. It had to spring like a thunderbolt. A declaration of love to love!” explains François Demachy who gave the perfume a modern makeover, while still observing Christian Dior’s original wish to produce “a perfume that smells of love”.
