For the first time, Victoire de Castellane, Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie, collaborated with Kim Jones to create a unique high jewelry creation inspired by the universe of the Dior Summer 2022 men’s collection: the Cactus sautoir necklace. Harnessing extraordinary savoir-faire, the jewelry piece is set with more than 1,400 diamonds enhanced by white and yellow gold offset with pearls and emeralds in intense shades. Delicate hand-painted lacquered flowers capture this artistic approach to jewelry-making perpetuated with passion.

Approaching his collections as a dialogue between Dior's couture heritage and his signature sportswear spirit, Kim Jones continues his reinterpretation of tailoring with the silhouettes of the Dior Summer 2022 men’s collection. The Artistic Director sent out jackets sporting soft, subtle lines, paired with slightly flared pants, combining traditional codes and a contemporary attitude. The iconic Tailleur Oblique suit is reinvented as an ode to fluidity and freedom of movement.
Reflecting the unique savoir-faire perpetuated by the Vermont ateliers in Paris, soutache embroideries sketch out bewitching patterns on the collection’s jackets. Traditionally seen on military attire, these precious ornaments are designed using materials that evoke the art of passementerie; laces and ribbons of different thicknesses feature matte, shiny and even pearly finishes, creating captivating effects on the pieces in motion. Masculine in essence, these virtuoso details are imbued with a feminine touch, composing the iconic design of the toile de Jouy, Dior's timeless emblem.
