Christmas decoration by Cordelia de Castellane

Monsieur Dior loved the festive season and its promise of unforgettable magic moments. This year, Cordelia de Castellane opens the doors to her home and shares the secrets behind the décor she dreamed up to enchant moments of sharing.

Poetry and color come to life on a table sublimated with floral bouquets in shimmering hues from pink to apricot, echoing the delicate nuances of Dior tableware inspired by Luminarie, the captivating luminous architectures that punctuated the scenography at the 2021 Cruise show in Puglia, Italy. Crystal glasses designed by Dior Maison’s Creative Director sit alongside precious family heirlooms and a selection of vintage pieces adorned with golden touches.

LUMINARIE

  • To make the festive season even more enchanting, Dior Maison unveils a collection celebrating the art of the Luminarie, the captivating traditional architectures that punctuated the scenography for the 2021 Cruise show, presented – behind closed doors – in Lecce, Puglia. Today, these symbolic lights sublimate winter’s special, suspended moments, creating a sense of escape fueled by the fairy-tale dreams Christian Dior held dear. Like flamboyant bouquets, sparkling new prints designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri now constellate porcelain plates and valet trays, vases and coasters, as well as delicate fans and cushions, in shimmering colors that warm interiors.

CHRISTMAS ICON

  • Elevated by shades of gold and silver, shimmering Christmas baubles adorned with perforated illustrations reinvent the emblematic codes and motifs of the House, ranging from the founding couturier’s lucky star to Luminarie, the captivating architectural structures which illuminated the scenography of Maria Grazia Chiuri's Cruise 2021 show. The ultimate surprise comes in the form of a reimagined Dior bestiary, transformed into precious hanging ornaments patterned with the blue toile de Jouy motif, an iconic symbol. An irresistible adventure into the heart of this fairy-tale season, filled with joy, tenderness and dreams.

CRYSTAL GLASSES

  • Dior Maison and its Artistic Director, Cordelia de Castellane, have redesigned the essential crystal glass in three elegant series. Delicately hand-engraved, the House’s emblematic cannage, chevron, and stripe motifs embellish this precious object with graphic lines, in a palette of intense colors from yellow to red, green to turquoise, and blue to black. A joyful and refined expression of the art of entertaining.
