The meeting of cultures — one of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s main inspirations for her 2020 Cruise collection — is at the heart of a new collaboration imagined by Dior Maison. Artistic Director Cordelia de Castellane invited the ceramist Anne Agbadou-Masson to conceive 25 vases imbued with the aura of Marrakesh, the show’s magical location. The artist, an earthenware passionate, makes sculptures of sandstone, porcelain, and faience in her Paris ateliers. For Dior, she pays tribute to Morocco's colors and art of living through her work, which evokes the graceful curves of feminine icons or mysterious sea creatures, often enhancing the subtle hues of the raw materials with pearly enamels. Each piece is unique and entirely handmade, embodying excellence in contemporary craftsmanship and savoir-faire.
