Dior Maison reveals - for the first time - a new wallpaper adorned with Toile de Jouy. Dior Maison reimagines the signature motif as a non-woven wallpaper, reflecting an exceptional French savoir-faire. Its traditional fiber texture offers a unique effect, similar to linen. Application of wallpapers and wall coverings
Material:
- Plumb line or level
- Pencil
- Glue for non-woven wallpaper
- Smoothing brush
- Wallpaper roller
- Utility knife
- Ruler
Before starting:
Make sure the wall is smooth, clean and dry. If there are any bumps, remove them with the appropriate sandpaper. Remove the switch and plug covers.
Put them back in place after the installation. To place the first panel as straight as possible, use a level or a plumb line. Trace a straight line 62 cm (24.5) from the wall edge, which you will use as a point of reference for the first panel.
Glue:
Our wallpapers are non-woven and there is a specific glue for this type of material. We recommend you use one labeled 'without solvents'. Prepare the glue as indicated on the product instructions. Directly spread the glue on the wall with a roller or a glue brush.
The application:
Unroll the roll and start from the top of the wall. If the wall isn’t straight, start from the highest side or have your wallpaper exceed the wall by 2 - 3 cm (1). Smooth the wallpaper with a special brush starting from the interior towards the exterior to remove air bubbles. Cut off the surplus at the baseboard and ceiling, using a utility knife and ruler. Use the wallpaper roller on the edge of the panels to prevent them from lifting up.
