The book Photography, Christian Dior by Brigitte Niedermair explores photographer Brigitte Niedermair's unique collaboration with the House. The remarkable relationship between Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Christian Dior Couture womenswear, and Brigitte Niedermair is expressed through ingeniously provocative and unconventional photographs. Brigitte Niedermair has delved deep into the extensive Dior archives and selected around 40 historical pieces, each of which has been photographed twice with a silver-box camera in a five-by-four-inch format. Hidden details are revealed about the construction of designs including jackets, coats, day outfits, and evening dresses to offer a unique perspective. The book features a preface by Maria Grazia Chiuri and is enriched with contributions from Olivier Gabet, Brigitte Lacombe, and Maripol, as well as artists and designers Martino Gamper and Marcello Jori.
