Reaffirming her unconditional support of feminist art, Maria Grazia Chiuri conceives the performance space of her shows as an opportunity to produce and spotlight the contemporary practices of women. Hence, she invited Elina Chauvet to dream up an installation specially devised for this unique event lulled by a powerful traditional love song.

In the spring of 2023, in Mexico City, Elina Chauvet and a group of sixteen embroiderers elaborated an unprecedented iteration of her Confianza project entitled A Corazón Abierto – "Open Hearted". Using twenty white toiles, cotton muslin dresses drawn from the Dior archives and crafted in the Parisian ateliers, their words and symbols all stitched in red cotton threads compose the artwork’s next chapter. This poignant performance, closing the Dior cruise 2024 défilé, expresses, through its strength and emotion, the commitment of the Creative Director, who has also woven dialogues with a wealth of symbolic savoir-faire of the utmost excellence.

The Dior silhouettes that appeared in the courtyard and on the historic balconies of the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso paid homage to heartfelt creativity in all forms. A magical constellation of inspiring influences celebrating the House's unwavering passion for Mexican culture.
