The Collection

Check, mate

The key pattern of Kim Jones’ Dior Fall 2022 men’s line sees colorful plaids punctuating the looks with a daring invitation to mix-and-match. These timeless geometric designs, so dear to Monsieur Dior*, offer a stylistic journey between past and future.

    Back to the 50’s

Echoing Jack Kerouac’s look and paying homage to the 1950s – which saw the birth of On the Road** – a series of silhouettes that layer ties, shirts, sweaters and jackets are reinterpreted with dazzling, modern details. Among further expressions of this romantic past are slightly flared pants, cut just above the ankle, taking on vibrant colors – notably a multifaceted, reflective green – evoking the movement at the heart of the Beat spirit.

      Denim first

The original of style with attitude, denim is a perennially reinvented icon. A tribute to 1950s America, the collection celebrates denim in all its essence: raw, lightly washed or even subtly flocked. A symbol of freedom and adventure, this icon of the men’s wardrobe is shown here for the first time alongside more formal pieces.

        Art is in the Details

Blending the spirit of sportswear with the elegance of couture, the silhouettes of the Kim Jones-designed Dior Fall 2022 men’s line combine more and more exceptional pieces. Sweaters adorned with sequins, a hand-painted jacket reinterpreting the cover of Visions of Cody – another one of Jack Kerouac’s cult novels – a t-shirt fused with a scarf transforming the cover of Kerouac’s Mexico City Blues (1959) into an abstract Dior logo, and revisited American jerseys confer to each look a note of irresistible Dior refinement and audacity.

          Dior Knit

Imbuing the silhouettes of the Dior Fall 2022 collection with a touch of softness, in head-to-toe looks or ultra-desirable pieces in chenille knitwear or traditional jacquard, knitwear offers a reflection of the House’s unique savoir-faire. A portrait of Jack Kerouac is embroidered on a sweatshirt like an engraving or printed on terry knit. For a hint of sophistication, two small golden bees – emblems of the House – linked by a chain delicately rest on collars or come to close vests.
