FALL 2022 MEN'S CAMPAIGN

  • The Kim Jones-designed Dior Fall 2022 men’s collection pays tribute to Jack Kerouac, an iconic figure who changed writing as radically as Christian Dior changed fashion. The author of cult novel On The Road* was a major inspiration for the line, infusing the novel’s elusive spirit into the creations imagined by the Artistic Director, who is also a passionate collector of the writer’s works.

The captivating campaign celebrates freedom with looks that blend counterculture with couture, and Parisian refinement with the modern casualness of American sportswear. The models evoke the rebellious poets of the Beat Generation in a setting punctuated by the words of Jack Kerouac – an echo of the show’s set design, complete with its catwalk that reinterpreted the legendary book’s typescript in XXL format. 

  • For their part, the shoes were designed with the elemental fiction’s characters in mind: the clean, structured Dior Carlo derbies, with their masculine curves, were named after Carlo Marx, the literary incarnation of Allen Ginsberg. An invitation to the open road, the Saddle Nautic bag revisits the emblematic Saddle. This fascinating odyssey to the heart of creation pays homage to the boundless imagination and reinvention of savoir-faire so dear to Dior and Kim Jones.
