Les Récoltes Majeures
A special Dior event
This year, Les Récoltes Majeures are celebrating a trio of fragrances created by Francis Kurkdjian and dedicated to lily-of-the-valley, rose and jasmine respectively. The caps of these exclusive creations are reinvented with each new edition thanks to the exceptional savoir-faire of talented artisans. Designed by artist Marie Barthès, the bottles are now adorned with leather caps that transform them into veritable works of art.
The exceptional savoir-faire
A leather sculpture designed by artist Marie Barthès
French artist Marie Barthès, known for her surprising leather sculptures inspired by nature, combines her expertise in leatherworking techniques with contemporary inspiration. This elegant and incredibly delicate handmade lambskin cap features leaves in a variety of soft green shades alongside pearlescent beads that evoke the poetry of lily-of-the-valley bells.
Lily-of-the-valley, the Dior lucky flower
Lily-of-the-valley, an iconic flower in the world of Dior, was Christian Dior’s favorite. He handed them out by the bunch and sewed them into the hems of dresses. In 1956, this passion gave rise to Diorissimo, a fragrance that recreates the silent flower's essence. Francis Kurkdjian wanted to reinterpret lily-of-the-valley in homage to the legendary accord of Diorissimo, while adding his own personal touch to capture the flower's green energy, sweet notes and floral facets.
