The New Look

The New Look

TIMELESS ALLURE SINCE 1947

The 30 Montaigne Wardrobe

Dior is unveiling a selection of essential pieces – dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri – reinterpreting the House’s iconic silhouettes. Thus, the timeless Bar jacket – symbolizing the New Look, reflecting ultimate excellence in savoir-faire – is available in a quilted version, adorned with the graphic lines of cannage. An ideal, ultra-contemporary wardrobe, complete with emblematic bags such as the Lady Dior, the Dior Book Tote or the 30 Montaigne, a statement of its time, embodying a creative passion perpetually reinvented.

First Collection

The first collection, Spring–Summer 1947, is presented on February 12, in the salons of 30 Avenue Montaigne. Dior names his new lines Corolle and En 8. Carmel Snow, the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, declares: “My dear Christian, your dresses have such a New Look!”
