Christian Dior’s ultimate dream, the Château de La Colle Noire was his Provençal haven of peace, the refuge where he rested far from the Parisian hustle and bustle, to design his future collections. It was also an estate he personally planted with entire hectares of fragrant flowers: hundreds of almond trees bloomed there at the end of winter, a sight and scent the couturier never got tired of. An avid epicurean, he rediscovered the taste and scent of almond in orgeat syrup, a beloved delicacy he loved to savor in cocktails he prepared himself.
A celebration of Christian Dior’s beloved Provençal South of France, the new Dior Paradise trail imagined by Francis Kurkdjian for La Collection Privée is an evocative olfactory chapter of this land of perfumes he loved dearly. A luminous tribute to the couturier-perfumer’s fond memory of an earthly paradise.
Dior Paradise blends these inspirations into a fresh woody trail where the radiant mandarin note intertwines with the soft, bittersweet roundness of a mouth-watering almond note. Irresistible, this heart is contrasted by a floral woody accord and enhanced by an enveloping and powerful tonka bean note.
