Our Commitments

Social Responsibility

A symbol of French excellence and savoir-faire, the House of Dior is deeply aware of both its cultural role and its social responsibility. Since 1947, we have been committed to passing on our expertise, values and creativity, with the ambition of actively contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable society — and of giving as many people as possible the freedom to dream and shape their own future.

Whether through education, solidarity, equal opportunity, diversity or the preservation of cultural and artisanal heritage, Dior acts with conviction to champion universal, inclusive and lasting values.

“Women, with their intuitive instinct, understood that I dreamed not only of making them more beautiful, but happier, too.” – Christian Dior

Empowerment and Agency of Women

When he founded his House in 1946, Christian Dior brought his dreams to life and transformed fashion with the New Look. Through his creations, he redefined femininity and the image of women: free-spirited, bold and radiant. His visionary spirit continues to inspire generations around the world. From the very beginning, women’s empowerment and independence have been central to Dior’s identity and remain one of the cornerstones of the House’s global social commitment.

Mentorship, Education, and Leadership

In partnership with UNESCO, the Women@Dior initiative (https://womenatdior.com/) is a unique international mentoring, education and incubation program developed in collaboration with 75 schools and universities worldwide. To date, more than 3,000 young women from 90 nationalities across 60 countries have benefited from the program, strengthening their confidence, talent, leadership skills and capacity to drive change.

Building on its partnership with UNESCO, Dior has also established a long-term collaboration with Ewha University in Seoul. Since 2022, a dedicated educational program has been offered there, which includes scholarships and mentoring support. This initiative embodies the House’s commitment to women’s empowerment and supporting local communities.

Exceptional Craftsmanship, a Living Heritage

Passing on what we are, what we know, and what we create is also an integral part of Dior’s DNA.

Shining a Light on Expertise and Exceptional Artisans

The House preserves its exceptional savoir-faire through a range of concrete commitments: organizing international exhibitions and events that showcase its creative, retail and artisanal métiers while inspiring future vocations; training and recruiting tomorrow’s talents; and highlighting the remarkable work of its artisans, the true guardians of Dior excellence.

At Christian Dior Couture, we honour our finest artisans. They are the true embodiment of our exceptional savoir-faire. As such, they join the LVMH Virtuosos community, where they are awarded an honorary title and gain access to personal development programmes, masterclasses, and exclusive visits to iconic sites such as the Palace of Versailles in France. Since the very beginning, the transmission of knowledge, training, and the preservation of excellence and exceptional craftsmanship have been at the heart of our House.

Promoting Cultural and Artistic Heritage

Guided by its values and deep attachment to the arts in all their forms, the House of Dior supports numerous patronage initiatives to foster creativity and promote culture around the world.

In France, Dior is actively involved in preserving and enhancing heritage through several major initiatives, including the replanting of the Tuileries Garden, the restoration of the ceiling of the Salon de Diane at the Château de Versailles and of the Queen’s House at the Hameau de Trianon, as well as sponsorship of the exhibition Gardens of Light (1750–1800): Exoticism and Fantasy in 2026.

The House also supports the Musée Rodin, enabling the museum to acquire one of the artist’s earliest known terracotta works.

These projects bring together numerous master artisans — cabinetmakers, upholsterers, gardeners and thatchers — and reflect the richness of French craftsmanship. Dior fashion shows staged in these iconic locations further contribute to their international cultural influence. In tribute to the performing arts, Dior also continues its patronage of the Fondation Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, under the aegis of the Fondation de France.

At the same time, Dior supports the preservation of artistic and cultural heritage in several countries. In Italy, the House works alongside the Venetian Heritage Foundation to restore emblematic Venetian landmarks, including the Porta Magna of the Arsenale and the Ca’ d’Oro museum.

At the Vatican, Dior partnered with the Apostolic Library on the exhibition En Route and a scholarship program dedicated to the digitization of precious archives. Reflecting the passion for art and avant-garde movements cultivated by the founder — himself a gallery owner and collector — Dior also actively supports the Beijing Dangdai contemporary art fair in China.

Fostering Respect for One Another

The House actively combats all forms of discrimination and celebrates the individuality of every person. Dior is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive working environment that encourages both personal and professional fulfillment. As part of this commitment, the House raises employee awareness through international training programs and the All LVMH Pride network.

Disability at Dior

Since 2013, Dior has been actively committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities through concrete initiatives focused on recruitment, training and long-term employment support.

Dior also supports local initiatives around the world. In the United States, the House partners with Runway of Dreams to promote access to adaptive clothing. In Japan, the Dior Farm project led to the creation of three urban farms providing adapted working environments for people with disabilities, with harvests shared among employees and charitable organizations.

Working for Equal Opportunities

Dior takes concrete action to expand access to education and employment for young people in different regions of the world. In France, the House supports young people from Seine-Saint-Denis in building their professional futures, as well as individuals facing hardship, through its long-term partnership with the association La Cravate Solidaire. Dior employees also regularly volunteer as mentors alongside organizations such as Nos Quartiers ont du Talent. In China, Dior collaborates with the Dongrun Foundation to help young people from rural communities gain access to quality education.

Solidarity in Action

Dior is committed to contributing to a more supportive society by supporting innovation and medical research, particularly in areas related to genetic diseases, via the Imagine Institute, and cancer research, through organizations like Odyssea and the American Cancer Society.

The House carries out initiatives in support of the most vulnerable communities, in partnership with the Red Cross and other major organizations.

Charitable support lies at the heart of our social responsibility, and we ensure that all employees have the opportunity to engage in concrete projects that have a positive impact on society.

Supporting Medical Research

Dior actively supports medical research, notably alongside the Imagine Institute, a reference center for genetic diseases at the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital. The House is also engaged in the fight against sickle cell disease in collaboration with Robert Debré Hospital. Each year, Dior supports the cause by participating in the Dîner des Maisons engagées, organized by LVMH.

Dior also mobilizes employees worldwide during Pink October, bringing together nearly 4,000 participants through a variety of initiatives dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.

Our Employees Take Action

Dior Day for Good is a flagship initiative that gives all Dior employees around the world the opportunity to dedicate one day to a charitable cause close to their hearts. In a global context marked by many challenges, Dior encourages collective engagement and empowers everyone to make a difference.

This initiative embodies the values of the House by turning solidarity into meaningful action and enabling everyone to contribute to a more responsible future. Today, employees can support hundreds of nonprofit organizations around the world through this program.

Supporting Employees Facing Personal Hardship

To support employees confronted with serious and urgent personal circumstances, the House of Dior provides access to the LVMH Heart Fund. This fund offers confidential emergency financial assistance, as well as social and psychological support, to employees in need.
