The Book Cover Collection
A timeless icon of the House, the Dior Book Tote is reinterpreted by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson. Conceived as an homage to classic literature, the new Book Cover Totes are embroidered with renditions of first-edition book covers from the 19th and 20th centuries. Pouches, wallets, and ready-to-wear pieces are also adorned with literary titles.
To mark the arrival of the collection, photographer Angèle Châtenet captures a variety of writers, booksellers and literature lovers among the iconic bouquinistes stalls along the banks of the Seine.
Presented in three sizes – large, medium, and mini – the Book Cover Totes exhibit the savoir-faire of the Houses’s Ateliers. Playful and practical, the large version has a magnetic closure to securely carry belongings. The medium and mini have a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap so they can be worn in multiple ways. As a final touch, the “Dior” logo is finely embroidered on the front.
