Created in 1991 by Dominique Ropion and Jean-Louis Sieuzac, Dune is an olfactory portrait of comfort, like a seaside garden. A bouquet of white flowers meets the dunes and the ocean mist, enveloped in a woody accord. A true invitation to escape, infused with warmth and soft light. The Dioriginals collection brings together the House of Dior’s emblematic signatures, restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director. He set out to recover the fragrances’ original formulas, presented in the 1948 bottle that once housed Christian Dior’s first iconic creations.

A solar bouquet with marine accents
Bathed in sunlight and cooled by sea-spray, an armful of white flowers unfurls among the dunes. Notes of blackcurrant bud absolute and mandarin infuse the fragrance with a luminous freshness, giving way to a floral heart of rose and jasmine notes enveloped by a woody accord. A soothing, airy composition, imagined as a garden by the sea.

This is a journey through 80 years of fragrance, from classic icons by Edmond Roudnitska to more recent creations.

The bottle
The ‘Oval’ bottle
The Dioriginals are presented in the 1948 ‘Oval’ bottle, which housed them from their earliest beginnings. It is now adorned with a pared-down, textured label reproducing the oval design with a metallic ring, finely striated and engraved with the “CD” monogram.
