Savoir-faire: Embroidered Coat

This coat in the autumn-winter 2018-2019 ready-to-wear show owes its luxurious surface relief effect to the petites mains in the Vermont ateliers who embellished the beauty of the 18th-century indienne print through the skillful execution of subtly-colored embroidery.

Mix and match

For this ready-to-wear collection, the Dior woman stacks on, mixes and layers her jewelry to produce an ensemble effect that reflects her personality: spontaneous and creative. Bracelets come in woven fabric, as J’adior bangles and chains worn at the wrist as well as around the neck. Gilt metal rings and earrings are decorated with graphic moons and stars. And hoop earrings are embellished with a clover, one of Christian Dior’s favorite lucky charms.
