Dior Vienna

Initiating a new chapter of its relationship with Austria, Dior is pleased to announce the opening of a new boutique in Vienna, located on Tuchlauben Street in the prestigious Goldenes Quartier, the capital's epicenter of fashion and luxury.

Spread over more than 1,000 square meters in a historic building, this unique setting presents the different worlds of Dior, from women's and men's ready-to-wear to bags, shoes and accessories, including jewelry, Dior Maison lines and perfumes. Inside, it is enhanced by a signature concept designed by architect Peter Marino, characterized by a refined atmosphere illuminated by light colors.

In a fabulous dialogue between past and present, heritage and reinvention, the House's codes merge with an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, combining the refinement of cabochon stone with the warm spirit of wood, the elegance of Versailles parquet flooring with the delicacy of moldings, in a masterful interplay of contrasts and associations. A subtle guiding thread, a wall running through all the floors displays the classic white toiles – three-dimensional expressions of a sketch, the starting point of collections, which then give life to haute couture silhouettes.

A tribute to Christian Dior's fervent passion for creation in all forms, the decor is punctuated by captivating art, such as the magnetic installation created by Claudia Wieser. Paintings by Christian Eisenberger, Rudolf Polanszky, John McAllister, Maysha Mohamedi, Ross Bleckner and Donald Sultan stand alongside works by Etienne Moyat and Franck Evennou, photographic prints on mirror by Marc Swanson and a bronze sculpture by Philippe Pasqua. Relating the fascination that the founding-couturier cultivated for the plant world, a work encapsulating a sumptuous bouquet –composed by floral artist Azuma Makoto – breathes an extra touch of bucolic poetry into this location of endless possibilities. Pieces of furniture by designers as emblematic as Claude Lalanne, Studio Glithero, Alasdair Cooke, Ado Chale, Delos & Ubiedo, Gary Noffke, Osvaldo Borsani, Ginger & Jagger and B G ROBINSON endow each space with a singular identity.

An eternal icon, the epitome of excellence, the Lady Dior is revealed in its myriad facets. A dazzling prelude, in the window, a multitude of variations are unveiled, crafted from // sublimated by minerals – a feat of Isaac Monté – forming an entrancing chromatic colour scheme. In one corner, visitors are invited to discover a wall dedicated to the multiple reinterpretations in the ninth edition of the Dior Lady Art project by several international artists.

A spectacular “refuge of the marvelous” in which all the magic of the Dior dream flourishes gloriously.
