Lily-of-the-valley, rose and jasmine. Francis Kurkdjian wanted to embody the magic of those fleeting moments when Christian Dior bent down over one of his flowers at La Colle Noire. Each of these fragrances, reminiscent of a soliflore, is a source of inspiration for fine artisans. Year after year, they will reinvent the bouquet bottle designed by Christian Dior himself in 1956 for his fragrance Diorissimo. A trio of rare scents released in very limited quantities and conceived as an annual meeting between art and nature.
“A counterpoint to the melody of night and earth,” is how Monsieur Dior declared his love for jasmine, the scent of nights in Provence at La Colle Noire. For this Récolte Majeure, Francis Kurkdjian decided to capture the magic of jasmine from Grasse, both airy and opulent, unveiling itself in all its fine, velvety splendor, more “flower” than ever before.
“I wanted to express the sensory exhilaration sparked by the jasmine grandiflorum fields in Grasse. That moment of perfect harmony between animalic and green facets, floral and fruity notes, no single element overwhelming the whole, everything in alignment.”
