Created in 1963 by Paul Vacher, Diorling is a chypre fragrance with British accents, playing on the word “darling.” Dior's floral signature meets the olfactory portrait of a woody garden and the warmth of leather. The Dioriginals collection brings together the House of Dior’s emblematic signatures, restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director. He set out to recover the fragrances’ original formulas, presented in the 1948 bottle that once housed Christian Dior’s first iconic creations.

The Diorling formula was preserved in the Dior archives, and rediscovered by Francis Kurkdjian upon his arrival.
To revive the original signature of this leathery floral chypre, he elevated its aldehydic character, and restored the quality of the jasmine and oakmoss notes at its base.

The bottle
The ‘Oval’ bottle
Dioriginals are presented in the 1948 'Oval' bottle, the bottle that originally housed them. Now reinterpreted with a pared-down, textured label reproducing the oval design wit ha metallic ring, finely striated and engraving with the 'CD' monogram.
