Created in 1963 by Paul Vacher, Diorling is a chypre fragrance with British accents, whose name is a playful nod to the English word “darling.” Dior's floral signature meets the olfactory portrait of a woody garden and the warmth of leather. The Dioriginals collection brings together the House of Dior’s emblematic signatures, restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director. He set out to recover the fragrances’ original formulas, presented in the 1948 bottle that once housed Christian Dior’s first iconic creations.

To revive the original signature of this leathery floral chypre, Francis Kurkdjian has restored the quality of the jasmine, the oakmoss notes at its base and its aldehydic character.

The bottle
The ‘Oval’ bottle
The Dioriginals are presented in the 1948 ‘Oval’ bottle, which housed them from their earliest beginnings. It is now adorned with a pared-down, textured label reproducing the oval design with a metallic ring, finely striated and engraved with the “CD” monogram.
