At Dior, the art of perfume is expressed not only through the creation of fragrances but also through the design of their bottles. As early as 1947, Christian Dior created an exceptional bottle for his first fragrance, Miss Dior, giving birth to the Amphora. This ancient shape was chosen to reflect the famous hourflass silhouette that symbolises the New Look.
The expertise of fine craftspeople speaks through refined details: each amphora is blown in a French glassworks, delicately chiseled and decorated by hand with fine 22 karat gold. Each piece is then packaged by the ladies of the Dior atelier using exclusive perfumery savoir-faire.
