Created in 1972 by Edmond Roudnitska, Diorella is the feminine counterpart to Eau Sauvage. A fragrance of freedom, independence, and youth, it reflects Christian Dior's joyful spirit. Its trail evokes the melody of jasmine and violet, enhanced by oakmoss and wrapped with fruity notes. The Dioriginals collection brings together the House of Dior’s emblematic signatures, restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director. He set out to recover the fragrances’ original formulas, presented in the 1948 bottle that once housed Christian Dior’s first iconic creations.

A chypre accord imbued with the freedom of spirit of the 1970s. So revolutionary was Diorella that it inspired a generation of perfumers – its cumin note creates a unique frequency, which gives way to a fruity floral heart where jasmine and violet accents intertwine with the velvety softness of peach. Vetiver and oakmoss accords weave in a woody depth, forming a trail that is freedom incarnate.

The bottle
The ‘Oval’ bottle
The Dioriginals are presented in the 1948 ‘Oval’ bottle, which housed them from their earliest beginnings. It is now adorned with a pared-down, textured label reproducing the oval design with a metallic ring, finely striated and engraved with the “CD” monogram.
