Following her success with "The Female Divine" at the Spring-Summer 2020 haute couture show, Chicago has created a politically conscious couture piece that honors Catherine Dior, celebrating both her courageous involvement in the French Resistance and her vibrant spirit.
Inspired by this exceptional artwork, Francis Kurkdjian created a bold Miss Dior fragrance with a vibrant, intense trail that reflects a fiery temper. Drawing from Judy Chicago's passionate advocacy, he developed a rich composition where juicy mandarin essence mingles with the wild intensity of jasmine sambac absolute.
After 2020’s monumental piece, Judy Chicago has taken a more subtle turn in her work for Miss Dior, designing a bottle with a bow and a couture trunk. This resounding success was inspired by the famous installation entitled “The Dinner Party” that she worked on from 1974 to 1979, which honored the remarkable women who have been overlooked and sometimes forgotten by history.
